You can improve your smile’s appearance with dental veneers.

Are you happy with your smile? Is it affecting your social life or self-esteem? If so, then it might be time to talk to our Reno dentist Dr. VeneersGeorge Zatarain about dental veneers and how you can improve your smile.
What are dental veneers?
Veneers can change the color, shape and size of your smile. Veneers are made from porcelain, they are thin tooth-shaped shells that are applied to the front surface of your teeth to mask unsightly cosmetic issues like discolorations, chips and cracks, misshapen or worn down teeth, gaps between teeth and teeth that are crooked or overlapping.
What does it take to get dental veneers?
At Z  dentistry, we can do a mock up to show you exactly the change veneers can make for you.  Once you and Dr. Z decide to go forward, the first visit will be to prepare your smile for your new veneers. One of the perks of getting veneers is that it doesn’t require a lot of tooth preparation.
To prepare the teeth we will lightly buff them to remove a very small amount of enamel. Some enamel must be removed in order to allow for the size of the veneers.
Next, photos and an impression are taken of your teeth and sent to our lab where your custom veneers are made. You will leave this appointment with temporary veneers.  It will take up to a week for your veneers to be created and received at our office.
You will come back for a second appointment to receive the final veneers.
How do you care for dental veneers?
Soon you’ll realize that your veneers are very similar to regular teeth. You’ll actually treat them the same way - brush at least twice a day and floss daily. You’ll also want to keep up with those regular dental cleanings and exams to make sure that your veneers and all your teeth remain healthy.
Could you be the perfect candidate for dental veneers? Come in and find out! Turn to Z Dentistry in Reno, NV for all of your cosmetic and general dentistry needs.
