Dental bonding 101
People may feel embarrassed to smile and show their teeth. Perhaps they have felt embarrassment to ask for help or think that cosmetic dentistry is just too expensive. But, good news, bonding is one of the most affordable cosmetic dentistry procedures around. It is also an excellent investment in the appearance of your smile and your overall well-being. Why? Bonding achieves balance. Our patients have found that Dr. Aaron can hide tooth imperfections with bonding. They are delighted with the results – a well-proportioned and symmetrical smile.
Conditions that may be treated with bonding include:
- Small gaps between teeth
- Minor cracks
- Chipped teeth
- Shape-related irregularities
- Stubborn stains or very yellow teeth
- Wear and tear
- Worn or short teeth
When you feel good about how you look, it shows! You may feel just the boost in confidence that you need to go after new opportunities, professionally and personally.
What to expect
As always, Dr. Aaron checks the health of your teeth and gums first. A look at the big picture might lead Dr. Aaron to recommend restorative rather than cosmetic treatment.
If you are an excellent candidate for dental bonding, the process is usually complete in one visit. Dr. Aaron matches composite resin, a plastic material containing glass-like particles to your natural tooth color. Dr. Aaron then uses his artistry and skill to apply the resin directly to your teeth. He shapes the resin for a beautiful, cosmetic finish. Once the resin is in place, he bonds or secures it to the tooth. Now the imperfection is covered, and you can smile with confidence.
